The reason Asahi may get into larger trouble
for what not said in apology on comfort women

The news of Asahi one of the top 4 news papers in Japan; admitting of error of its 16 news articles on comfort women followed after the book by Seiji Yoshida and the subject on 11th of September. The paper had promoted and expanded contents, and apology made many informed Japanese much disappointed. Most of us knew the story was fabricated, since Korean could not produce any physical evidence, while copies of news paper AD for recruiting were available,

The reason was the article written by Takashi Uemura (resigned from Asahi,disappeared recently) of Asahi on Ａｕｇｕｓｔ 11,1991which had connected “comfort women” and “women volunteers for work”at factories during the War,including young girls of 14~25 years old.This connection made the girls looked like been forced into prostitutes, and this fabrication made more damage than anything else.

These volunteer women at factory and comfort women had no relation with each other, which will be revealed later by historians and writers. For example,one of comfort woman filed complaint in Japan where she testified she had been sold twice by her family at 40 Yen to comforting place(s) without force, which Uemura and Asahi ignored.

The article of Uemura made it so difficult for Koreans,I guess, from not taking advantage of blaming Japan, as Korean has had taught her children that Korean had won war against Japan and independence, even though they fought as a part of Japanese Military against the allied during 1941~1945. (Japanese and Korean never had a war after 1600.
Korean after the country fought war against the North Korea 1950~1953, however it had been hidden from Korean people, and the comfort women story has been used as one of the reasons to hate Japan to justify her independence from Japan. 

Asahi excluded the connecting story from apology, as some leftwing politicians are sympathetic to Korea and China, and some statements were made by such political leaders based on repeated requests by Koreans, Japan paid huge compensation to Korea. (A question remained unanswered yet on the extent of influence Uemura's Korean wife’s mother over the story, who once was a leader of Korean team filing complaints of comfort women,etc.)

The deep anger and frustration among Japanese for lack of justice on this kind of insult should not be ignored or overlooked, especially by fair minded Americans who care about peaceful Far East Asia. The biggest frustrations exist because the fabricated story was written by a (pro-Korean)Japanese and promoted by one of the leading Japanese Newspapers,( then promoted by Koreans to UN and other institutions).

Independence Hall of Korea is reported still exhibiting disgusting wax dolls showing tortures of Koreans, which were total twist, considering the first Japanese administrator of Korea, Hirobumi Ito ordered prohibition of extreme tortures in 1908 even before annexation of Korea in 1910, who opposed annexation, was assassinated in the year.

(As for comfort women, please read the interrogation report of US Military, and think on the salary of 300 yen in the late 1930s were approx. equal to $24,000 per month in current value ,which were paid for the service in Korea and $60,000/month in Myanmar in 1944.
